Upon receiving my two rolls, I compared the thickness of these "bargain" bags to that of the name-brand ones. While there is a slight - almost unnoticeable - difference in weight, I was unable to discern any appreciable difference in thickness of the plastic. They heat seal exactly the same as the name brand bags, and the texture on the "up" side is identical.
The only (potential) negative to these rolls I have found is that they will not fit in my FoodSaver in the size they were shipped as. To me, this is a non-issue as it only takes about 5 minutes to roll enough onto a 3/4" PVC pipe to fit into the machine, with the leftover (probably about 30 feet) being left on the roll and stored for later use. Considering the amount of money you are saving over the ridiculous price of the brand name bags, I will gladly spend an extra few minutes "charging" my rolls to be used at a later date.
EDIT: I went ahead and checked the thickness of both the FoodSaver brand bags and the Commercial Bargains brand ones. Both bags measured exactly .28mm thick using a digital micrometer that's accurate to the thousandth of an inch. Definitely no difference in thickness.

These work just fine with my Foodsaver vacuum sealer and the price is tough to beat.
Tip: I absolutely recommend double-sealing both ends of your bags. This is true for both this product and the authentic Foodsaver brand bags that come with the machine. Each seal has about a 10% chance of leaking within the first couple of weeks, so any given bag has a 20% chance of leaking if it only has one seal at each end. If each end has two seals, the probability of failure drops to 2%.

These large rolls must be divided into smaller sections to fit the FoodSaver device, but it's worth the extra effort. Each bag I have made has performed beautifully, with vacuuming easy and effective for a variety of foods. In fact, these bags are much better than the original provided with the FoodSaver machine.
I've saved money with these rolls, and their performance means I'll be reordering them rather than the more expensive bags I have used previously. I use vacuum bags most of the time for foods I freeze, so finding these has made my work better and my pocketbook fatter. I highly recommend you try them if you're a FoodSaver frequent user.

I have a Seal-A-Meal vacuum sealer and I'm using an Olfa rotary cutter (http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BNLLHW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and a cutting mat with a grid to produce my own custom-sized bags from these rolls. The rotary cutter works beautifully, giving me nice straight cuts, and my Seal-A-Meal has had no problem securely sealing them. This material seems to be very sturdy and I'm optimistic that my vacuum-sealed food will last quite a long while in my freezer. If not, I'll update this review accordingly.

These bags are a great value. They are made of very strong plastic and work well with the seal-a-meal vacuum food sealer I bought. The 8" bags are great food things like chicken breasts, pork chops, or homemade beef jerky. The 11" bags are great for larger things like roasts. After I received these I did a test on the bag to insure it was well sealed. I pulled very hard on the seal and it held up to the abuse. I would certainly recommend these to anyone with a food sealer as they will work with many different brands.

I am very pleased with these bags. Very large rolls allow you to make the exact sizes you need. This is my first food saver. I bought the Seal a Meal and the bags work perfectly with it. After reading numerous reviews I chose those bags/rolls and I am glad I did. No sense in wasting money on the expensive ones when these do the same thing. I will definitely be buying again.

We got through half a cow a year out here, literally, half a cow, ordered from a friend's farm and picked up in boxes from butcher. To make it last we repackage the meat in food saver bags and store in a deep freezer. This year we forgot to get the bags at Costco before leaving Fargo so I ordered these and hoped for the best. They work just as well as the brand name, the only difference is there is no little white space to label it. didn't matter too terribly much since I just scribbled on the smooth side. Make sure you seal it smooth side down, for whatever reason that made a difference in the sucking power of our machine with these bags. TOTALLY worth the money by cutting out the need for a little label line. I still have some left and will order this one again next year.

I ordered these some time ago but wanted to give them some time to see how they held up. I couldn't be happier. I have an early model Foodsaver so it's very fussy about the kinds of bags it will seal. It took to these bags immediately. Only one bag lost its seal and that was a chunk of ginger. I always double seal my bags but I cut this bag a bit small and couldn't get a double seal on it. And cutting a bag too short is one common reason why even a single seal may not hold, so it's not the bag's fault but mine. I will definitely be ordering these again because the bags are great quality and the price is right.

These bags are awesome! They're just like the ones that you would normally get with your food saver except at a fraction of the price!! The two sizes are perfect for all of your needs. I have absolutely zero complaints about this. They were shipped promptly, which I am extremely grateful for because I had just picked a whole ton of blueberries that needed to be frozen.

We bought these for our Foodsaver and they work fine, but note, you can't close the lid when it's a full roll. That's not an issue for us, but it may be for some of you. See photos. I still give it 5 stars because the product itself works as advertised!
