We just used affresh for the 2nd time in our HE front loader washer. It worked great the first time. But we were in awe of what happened the 2nd time around. Some how it pulled lost socks out of the crevices that we didn't know were there!! Nasty socks were hidden under a seal in the door and the affresh cycle brought them all out. Yes we were amazed. And yes we'll be using affresh again. Wish I could show the picture :)

Just used this product for the first time. I've had my front loading machine (LE brand) for over 3 years and gradually the rubber seal around the door has gotten moldier and moldier, even though I open the door and dry it (we live on the coast so mold is an issue). I've tried baking soda, bleach, and nothing worked to really clean out the mold and associated smell.
When I found this product on Amazon I thought I'd give it a try because it has good reviews. They recommend, if your machine is very bad and smelly, to run 3 separate washes in a row; I had to run 4 before I felt it was as good as it could get. The rubber door seal (light gray) does still have minimal mold staining, but the machine smells great and my clothes and towels are now coming out smelling fresh!
I'm very happy with Affresh and have signed up to receive it automatically every 3 months. The directions say to do it once per month for maintenance but since we live on the coast, I'm going to run it 2 times every month. Can't stand the smell of sour towels, etc.! Ick!
Highly recommend!

This really works, no kidding it really does. I have an old washer that came with the home I purchased. It's inside was, well, nasty. I tried to clean it, but the stains, etc. remained behind. I tried many different products - none worked. Affresh did the job the first time I used it. The tub and agitator look brand new - no dirt, stains. I'm sure what was hidden for the eye is has also been cleaned. No more hidden soap buildup. Worth the money and so easy to use.

This worked great the first time I used it on our top-loader and I've been using it for a couple of years and it gets the job done.

Not sure about front-loaders and why this didn't work for other people.
Obviously if your washer still stinks after using one of these tablets there's a deeper problem and you might want to call a technician.

Although the actual tablet smells nice I find that the washer doesn't smell like that after using it. It simply takes away the bad smell and the washer just smells clean. This is quite convenient as I wouldn't want the clothes to smell like affresh.

Overall it's a great product for top-loaders without other problems.

My he machine smelled really bad, so I followed the direction of using it 3 times in a row which really got almost all the smell away. Instead of using it again I wanted to buy something that will also clean the detergent tray, so I bought and used tide washing machine cleaner and that got the job done 100%.
I recommended this product to my family already as we all didn't know you have to clean the tube of he washing machines at all.

This Affresh Washing Machine Cleaner came as 6 tablets packaged in a cardboard box. Instructions are real simple, toss one tablet in to clean your washer once a month.

I have an LG HE washer. I’ve used Affresh for a while and finally decided to put it in my Subscribe and Save monthly plan because I appreciate the ease of how it freshens my washing machine. I make sure that when I use it, I also clean out the bottom trap that become stinky, and I wipe the rubber seal rings with bleach to make sure all of the mold that could build up doesn’t get much of a chance to start.

Every time I use this, someone comes to tell me there’s a problem with the machine because the Affresh tablet, which is pretty chunky and heavy is going ‘Clunk, clunk, clunk’ in the washer and they think something is wrong. But there is never any problem and it always does a good job of refreshing my machine.

I like the ease of use of Affresh; I like how my washer smells after I’ve used it, and if something happens where the machine ends up a little funky, I throw another one in before my monthly scheduled date to use it. I find it to be a great way to help my washer smell fresh and really clean, which gives me confidence that my clothes will be that way, too.

This is a product I’ve trusted for a while since it does a good job, and I appreciate the way my washer is cleaned after its use. One of my favorites that I added to my Subscribe and Save plan because of that!

There are four people in our family and one, constantly running HE top loading washing machine. We have a septic system, but the field lines for the washer run under our land. I thought I was doing a great job cleaning the washer weekly by pouring white vinegar and baking soda into the empty drum then setting the machine on the hot and heavy cotton cycle. I always leave the lid open when it's not being used to air the washer out. It never smell funky after several years of use and clothes were always clean. (Adding apple cider vinegar in the wash with your detergent works wonders on stinky men's yard/wood shop clothes, btw.)
I started noticing an odor in the washer recently even after my vinegar and baking soda routine. I was not happy.
A friend who is as picky about laundry as I am recommended Affresh. I had never heard of it, so I started reading about it. I noticed mixed reviews on Amazon, but decided to try Affresh anyway because the odor was making me nuts.

IT WORKS! Honestly, I was stunned. I waited to right my review until I had used 2 tablets because I wanted to be sure that the first time wasn't a nice fluke. It wasn't. Whew!

These tablets are individually wrapped and don't crumble in my hand once opened. They look like one of my homemade toilet bombs. Awesome. I followed the instructions on the box and waited until the washer finished.
I literally stuck my head into it and used a flash light to see if there was any residue. I did find a tiny bit around the agitator, but it easily wiped away with a damp cloth. I wouldn't have gone in head first up to my shoulders if there was a nasty chemical smell in my machine, I assure you.
All I smelled was water and a very faint clean odor which was almost non-existent. I was very happy. I was beyond thrilled after the second tablet worked because my husband and son had washed all of their gross, muddy, sweaty hiking clothes the day before.

Needless to say, I'm sold. A gamble to save my sanity and picky laundry habits paid off. I will certainly be buying these again.

**Please note: I was NOT offered any incentive or freebie for my honest review.**

UPDATE: We recently had a minor disaster in our house when a faucet gasket "blew off" and it literally rained in one of our bathrooms. We couldn't get under the sink quickly, so we turned off the water the water to the house...and it was raining outside, too!
With all of our muddy, wet clothes and other things we had to wash, the washing machine became nasty smelling. I used one Affresh and added some white vinegar for disinfecting. No more nasty! I'm still loving this all natural washing machine cleaner.
I have since found this at our local Lowe's for $7.99! If Amazon would match this price, I'd order more.

Great price, great product! I have been using Affresh Washer Machine Cleaner for years, and found it to on Amazon at a great price! I immediately purchased a package of 6 tablets for nearly the same price that some stores charge for 3 tablets!

These tablets do a great job cleaning my front-loading washing machine and the product doesn't leave a terribly strong odor. I am sensitive to strong chemical odors and have tried cheaper store brands of washing machine cleaner and was dismayed at the strong odor that hung on even after several cycles of running hot water through an empty machine! What a waste! I have not had this issue with Affresh and recommend it and will continue to purchase through Amazon.

Affresh Washer Cleaner was recommended by Whirlpool. I don't use it as frequently as suggested because I wipe and dry the door gasket after each laundry and keep the washer door open. Affresh does a great job keeping the washer clean and fresh smelling. I've never had a musty smell in my washer.

I have used Affresh in my front loading Whirlpool washer from the very beginning. I make sure to run a clean washer cycle with Affresh as soon as the indicator light tells me it's time. I have never noticed a musty smell in my machine or on my clothes. My suggestion would be to use it regularly and BEFORE you have an odor problem.
