I was skeptical that $20-worth of heater would really hold its own, but after having it for about a week now, I'm thrilled with the purchase. It came highly recommended, and with good reason!

There was a little bit of "new heater smell" right out of the box, but each time I use it I notice less and less of the scent. Definitely not a deterrent for me.

I read the dimensions and knew that the heater would be small, but it's even more compact than I had pictured. The low setting gets the job done just fine. The high setting gets it done in a flash!

I initially purchased this heater for use in my bathroom so that it wouldn't be so cold in the room when I was stepping out of the shower. I've already found myself toting it around the house for a little additional warmth without having to crank up the whole house furnace. I'm almost always cold, and it only needs to be on for a minute or so on high before I need to turn it down or completely off.

The sound is no different than any other space heater. If you turn it on in complete silence, sure you're going to think it's noisy. By comparison to "nothing," it is. Once you start "living" near it -- turn on the shower, watch TV, even if you're reading -- it's barely noticeable. If you're not focusing on its sound, it's just white noise like any other fan.

I did not expect this heater to be this compact! Like really, it's small but mighty! I like the fact that it can be a fan too. Moreover, the cord is pretty LONG, so it's really nice that you can put it far away from your outlet. As for the sound it produces, it's not loud at all and sounds like other heaters. Definitely recommend this.

This heater is small efficient and gets the job done. It even has a thermostat that switches off the heat when the desired temperature is reached. Its perfect for a bedroom or other small spaces. Why heat a house when you want just a warm room ? :)

The only downside to this heater is that it is slightly loud. Its not a pain or major annoyance, but you can certainly hear the buzz of the fan. All said and done, this is a great product. I would recommend to anyone.

Very pleased with this item. I once borrowed a much more expensive heater, and it was no
better than this Lasko. In fact, the expensive one was much less practical because it was not easy to move around. A reviewer mentioned that the Lasko does not have a turn off switch, but that is not really correct; when it is in the standby mode, it is off. It also should be noted that the build quality of the item is excellent. Advice to prospective buyers: don't let the low price fool you.

I like to use this when showering. My apartment bathroom gets very cold in the winter so it's uncomfortable to shower in. I shut the bathroom door and turn this heater on for about 5 minutes prior to a shower and it heats up my little apartment bathroom nicely. I've also tested this in my bedroom and it works well. In case you need a comparison, I estimate that my apartment is about 800 sq ft. I've had this for a month or two and have had no issues with it so far.

I will admit that I was apprehensive when I thought about purchasing this. It was a low price, but the reviews I read were mainly positive. This heater is the answer to the chilly morning when you are the first one out of the bed, and the house is freezing cold. I use it most days and am completely, and thoroughly satisfied. It has a strong heat output. So little, but so powerful--well worth the money. I plan to get another one soon for the next winter season.

Our son's nursery gets very cold in the winter time and, before buying this heater, used to wake up freezing in the morning. We could tell that sometimes our son would wake up much earlier than normal in the morning because he was cold. Our nights have been getting to the 30's (F) which isn't too bad but our windows and insulation let the cold right in. We set this small heater up on the opposite side of the room where his crib is and typically set it around the 4th or 5th dot (depending on how cold the night will be) and the fan speed on 1. It works like a charm and keeps the room nice and toasty!

For reference, his room is 9' x 8' or 72 square feet with an 8ft ceiling.

I read a review on here saying that the fan is loud. I find this to be inaccurate. First of all, fans make some noise. This isn't a Dyson Air Multiplier. It's a fan blowing air. Second, the fan is not loose and choppy. It is not an annoying sound, in fact I would claim that the sound is rather gentle, even soothing. We sleep our baby with a white noise machine near the crib so this probably doesn't even register to him.

Some other concerns I read about were electricity usage. I have no data on electricity usage as this is not a concern to us. It made our child comfortable and you can't put a price on that.

The cord is 6ft long. You can see in the photo we have it draped across a closet door to an outlet. The photo is just for reference. We keep it unplugged during the day.

Long story short: This is a great product!

I read every review on the Lasko 754200 Ceramic Heater here on Amazon and reviews searching through google. The positives outweighed the negative and knowing Lasko products I bought this heater. I can find nothing what-so-ever wrong with this heater. The people complaining about the noise I believe are comparing it to a space heater that has no fan. It's no noisier than a small table fan.
Now about the heater itself: this puppy puts out the heat instantly. The metal screen/grill does get hot, but I have it on a shelf so that's not an issue. It's 43 degrees outside and the heater is in a 14' X 16' bedroom with three exterior walls and three windows. It's set on 72 degrees and holding it.
The way it sits up on its base is pretty stable. The top left control turns left to right: Off - Fan High - Fan/Heat High - Fan/Heat Low. Top right control is the thermostat: starting from the off position - turning clockwise brings up the temperature setting.
I am very happy with this heater. If I needed another one I would buy the exact same one. The shipping was about as fast as what you'd expect and it was packed very well. My review is accurate as I can make it. Hope it helps.

no complaints ..cheap, and does a geat job!! remember this thing is small, it willnot heat your garage or even a large living room..it does however heat a bathroom or a small bedroom...one consumer review states he puts his feet 6 inches from this heater? i dont know how he can do that without cooking his feet??

Bought this heater for work since the office gets cold from time to time. This heater provides strong and concentrated hot air I had to turn the dial down to almost min level. Definitely a power space heater for smaller spaces.

The fan itself is fairly quiet, but the grid makes the air going through them produces some wind noise. Not noticeable if under desks etc or during the day when there are ambient noise.
