This is my first diffuser and I am very happy with it. In fact, I like it so much I bought a second one from this company. This is my personal honest opinion and I get a little frustrated seeing so many reviews on amazon from people who have received free or discounted products in exchange for reviews. I am interested in people like me who have spent their money and bought a product who want to give a review. First, the only issue I have had with this diffuser is that it is difficult to twist on and off when filling. Difficult, not impossible. If you get the hang of it you will figure out how it should go and it will be a little easier. It locks so that the oil doesn't spill, so you can't just twist it on and off like a water bottle cap. Secondly, I have used both high grade pure essential oils and those with lesser grade and the scents and fragrances can fill several rooms, especially the more potent ones. I have never had a problem with being able to smell the oils. Some will call for more drops than others but that is based on the fragrance of the oil. For example, I use more drops of lemon oil than lavender because the lavender has a really strong potent smell. If I put too much in I will have to turn it off more frequently because it's just too strong. Also, the diffuser has two settings. If you press the "on" button once the diffuser will run for about 30 seconds, shut off and then automatically turn back on. It will continue to do this on this setting. I don't want to assume this is what is happening with those who say it "stopped working" but it is possible. If you press that same button twice instead of once, the diffuser will run consistently until it runs out of water. I use both settings depending on how much fragrance I want or how long I want the water to last. The mist from my diffuser works perfectly fine. The other button is strictly for the lights. Sometimes I use them sometimes I don't. You can have the lights off and use just the diffuser. The "on" light stays on consistently. It is just a small red or green button depending on the mist setting so if you need complete darkness to sleep it may be a problem. I am very happy with the purchase. It does the job efficiently and is reasonably priced. The ones from the essential oil companies are twice to three times as much. I have one diffuser for the main area in the house and now a second one for the bedroom. I also think it could be used as a humidifier even without the oil. Glad I bought this.

My video discusses and examines some of the subtle points that most won't notice or appreciate unless, like myself, have owned and examined numerous different ultra-sonic diffusers, as well as other methods of aromatherapy. And although I do have my own personal preferences when it comes to build, aesthetics, features, I have no problem giving this UrPower 100ml diffuser a full five stars for doing what it is supposed to do, as it is advertised to do, and does it well.

As for a couple general points on ultrasonic diffusers -

THE ULTRASONIC GURGLE & BURBLE

No ultrasonic diffuser will be absolutely quiet unless they have particularly thick (and sound quieting) shells. Simply how ultrasonic diffusers work - the electric piezo agitation causes a jet of water shoots up and splashes down, and the bigger the tank capacity, the more force this little jet must have. So with larger tanks, and lower the water level, the more discernable that "Gurgle & Burble" is. Whenever I see "Noiseless" or "Whisper Quiet" in a title tag, I always take it to mean to refer to the motor or piezo vibration.

Unless, of course, I come across a diffuser that does indeed have a particularly thick and muffling shell

DIFFUSER GENERAL CLEANING

Tips I have learned the hard way: If you run the tank dry, yes it will auto-stop, but don't leave it empty for days. The residual essential oil will dry up and become gunk on the electric piezo, clogging up the vibrational action. Either fill it again immediately (with a couple more drops of essential oil), or rinse with warm water. If you do need a more thorough cleaning, warm water again, this time with a little bit of citric acid, and let sit for about 10 minutes or so. It will breakup the essential oil gunk on the piezo, letting you rinse most away. If you want to wipe down, use a soft cloth, perhaps a microfiber cloth dedicated to this job, and you can gently wipe the piezo itself too. You do not want to use abrasive chemicals/cloths, or anything that leaves its own residue behind.

Also, if you ever seem to have problems initially with misting on a diffuser, clean it to ensure no packing/transit dust or such is clogging the action. Warm water and a soft Q-tip should be enough to clear particles.

And a last note, in reference to a review complaining about "weird smell after two months, even after cleaning" - it is going to happen. It is going to happen with any and all diffusers with plastic tanks. We are talking essential, pure, potent oils here, and they will impregnate the plastic with their scent. If you tend to change out all manner of different scent qualities, especially strong ones... yeah, they are going to potentially result in an interesting hybrid scent to the plastic down the line. However, as scented as the tank may be, it shouldn't overtly affect the water misting of the one in use. Nevertheless, I do personally tend to limit the oil type, or at least scent qualities, to a single diffuser.

Thus why I have so many diffusers to begin with. :)

I bought this little unit to use in my classroom. It has done a yeoman's job! The kids love the scents, and I must say, it sure beats the smell of "wet puppy dogs" after recess!

I absolutely LOVE this Diffuser!!! I have a diffuser from Young Living and to me, this one tops it. I love that it goes at an angle vs just straight up in the air. Sometimes I would have my YL Diffuser sitting in from of both my boys bedroom at night and it just wouldn't work the way I wanted, but this one... it fills their room with nice aroma and helps in health as well. They love the colors are well. I will be purchsing another one in the near future!

Absolutely love this diffuser!

It runs for 6 hours and then will auto shut off, so there is no need to worry about anything happening if you do not shut it off.

I love that you have multiple colors to choose from if you want a "night light" effect. You can either have them rotate or you can choose one color to stay on. It is really quite nice! Or if you just want complete dark in your room, you do not have to have any of the lights on. The only downside is that there is a red or green light (depending on your setting) that stays on from the diffuser and this is still fairly bright. But you can turn it the opposite direction of where you are sleeping which helps dim it so it is not as bad.

I bought one of these for my mom and one for me and she also loves it. Neither of us have had any troubles or complaints with them. In fact, my mom is wanting to purchase more so she has them in multiple rooms in her house. I definitely would recommend this if someone is looking to purchase one. For the price, it is a great deal.

I have purchased two of these diffusers and they have worked flawlessly since I received them (approx. 4 months ago). I use them at least 5 times a week (usually every day). I like that it turns off automatically when the water runs out, and I like that I have the option to turn the colors on or off. When I have little ones at my house, they love the colors, but at night when I'm trying to sleep, I like a black room. The max fill line is easy to see when pouring in water. Using essential oils has improved our quality of life and I credit this diffuser for a lot of that! Highly recommend.

I've bought and reviewed a number of aroma diffusers over the years, and I received this one at a discount for an honest review. "But wait!" you say. "I can't believe this person because they got it cheap!" OK, yes, sure, I got a diffuser for a few bucks, and then I used it for a week, set up a NestCam to watch it to see how long it worked, and used it in my daughter's room (where it remains) to make sure a 10 year old could operate it, so... yes, it was discounted, but I also put a fair bit of effort into reviewing it.

As I mention in the video, the overwhelming majority of diffusers use the same or one of a very few different ultrasonic parts, and so they all mist pretty much the same way. The majority also use one of a very few sets of electronics, so the key differentiators are price, the cases, and the LED configuration.

At about $20, this is on the lower end of diffuser prices. That's a definite positive.

At 100ml capacity, it's among the smaller capacity diffusers, but more of them fall into this group than don't - *most* have capacities like this, and *some* have more. This 100ml will last ~3 hours when on full-time, and double that when on the 30 second on/30 second off cycle, which is what this selects when you initially turn it on (you need to press the button twice to get the always-on mode). I verified the time by keeping a security camera on it twice, and each time it was a little over three hours before it ran out. it is conceivable that the essential oil you choose could affect that time by altering the size of the mist particles that are produced, but I suspect there will be no measurable difference. So... ~3-6+ hours of use time. That's enough for a night, or for a day at the office. You just need to fill it once a day, and I don't see that as a burden.

The LED lights (which you don't need to activate) have a nice feature of being able to select a bright or dim version of each color (in addition to a mode that cycles through all of them), and I think this is a great plus - the dimmer of the colors is actually dim enough to use in a room at night. Still a bit bright for me - but I like cave levels of dark when I sleep - but "just right" for my youngest.

So: this is on the low end of prices, it has the typical capacity most of them have, it works, it lasts long enough, it's not loud (it's essentially silent), it's easy to open and refill, and the LED lights have two brightness settings. I'm giving it five stars because I truly don't see anything to cause the deduction of a star.

Finally, a small compact diffuser that doesn't beep when it shuts off! I've been on the hunt for a nice small diffuser to use in my office. All of the other models I've chosen that are like this have this loud obnoxious beep that emits when it shuts off. Every time it would take me by surprise, especially when I would be focusing on my office work. I'm so happy that this one doesn't. It does make beeps when you push buttons but other than that it's completely silent. You can hear the low whizz of the fan but it's not distracting. On continuous mode, it runs about 4-5 hours and on intermittent setting (on for 30 seconds, off for 30 seconds) it'll run 8-10 hours. I love this diffuser so much!

This company strives very hard for Customer satisfaction. If there is any problem, they are quick to remedy it. After seeing my original 2 star review, they contacted me and sent me a new diffuser. It has worked very well, without the sticking, so the other issues I was having have resolved as well.

I like it for the capacity and price. After using it continually for a few days with essential oils, it gets very difficult to open. I was frustrated more than a few times with trying to get it unstuck at the bottom. It's a twist and lock mechanism, and my friend suggested just not 'locking' it into place, but with little kiddos around who are curious, I just can't do that.
Also, the cord plugs into the bottom in a complicated sort of way, which makes it difficult to take out. You definitely have to bring water to the diffuser to re-fill it.
So, some cumbersome problems, in my opinion. The light colors, the ability to have constant flow or intermittant, and the larger capacity (from what I had before anyway) are all pros, but I wouldn't purchase this model again.

This diffuser has been so easy to use! I use my Scentsy essential oils in it and it has been great for the past 2 weeks of use. I have it in my living room and it is quiet and very efficient. I don't typically use the light function but I wanted a small diffuser to try out since I've never had one to see if I like it. I'm pleased with my purchase of this product!
