The Frigidaire WF3CB pure source 3 replacement ice & water filter is used to replace water filters in Frigidaire side-by-side refrigerators manufactured after 2009. For almost two years I just thought my Fridgidaire refrigerator was just slow to make ice and super slow to fill my glass with water. I do use a lot of ice when I make a drink so I also thought it was just me. It wasn't until my filter light on the fridge came on that I decided to buy a new filter. I ordered this filter and a few days later it ended up at my house. I put it in and I could NOT believe that for the past two years I've been just dealing with a bad filter. I put the new one in and my water is pouring out very fast and the ice maker is going crazy. I can't even keep up with the amount of ice it's producing. So...if anyone out there is having issues with their ice maker and water dispenser, you may just have to buy a new filter.

I have good country well water and did not want to filter it. But I bought my side-by-side Frigidaire refrigerator (Model # BFHS2611LM1) with a built-in ice maker and water dispenser in the front door. It came with one of these filters. Recently the fridge started to leak from just behind where the filter screws in.

I initially thought that the leak was a clogged filter (then 8 months old), so I bought one here, THEN discovered that no, it's a cracked filter-feed line (being fixed on warranty).

Meanwhile, it's clear that if I bought a filter every year then that's basically $400 over the 10-year life of the refrigerator -- half the price of the refrigerator. And, again, I don't want my excellent well water filtered.

When I complained of this to the Frigidaire warranty guy, he informed me that I could buy a "bypass filter" from Frigidaire for about $50 delivered. Basically, it's an empty shell filter that thus never has to be changed.

So, if you're like me and don't want your water filtered, then exercise that "bypass" option. I've since complained to Frigidaire corporate that they should just furnish the fridge with the bypass filter up front and then let each customer decide to replace with a real filter -- or at least clearly inform them of the bypass option. They said they'd consider it.

Otherwise, this filter plugged in just fine and I don't have any negative feelings about it, other than I don't want it. So 5-stars for that reason only.

The product arrived was identical to the filter factory installed in our refrigerator. We have lived in the home for 4 years, and never thought to replace it, until the water from the refrigerator door started tasting different. A simple push of the old filter, I was able to remove, and easily inserted this new one with a quick push. The old filter was several times heavier. After installing, I ran the water dispenser on the door to get the air out of the filter for the 4 minutes it requested on the package. I however, still noticed air in the system, so I removed and then reinserted the filter, ran the water, and all worked well.

I recommend this product and was amazed at how much of a difference the new filter made.

These filters work perfectly. I have bought several of them. They are less than buying them from a dealer. I will continue to buy them. They are very easy to install and last as long or longer than the one that came from the factory.

So when the Frigidaire filter needs to be replaced do you know what happens? Your ice maker stops working. That's it. But there's not note or anything saying if I stop making ice try replacing the filter. Keep in mind the entire time I can drink water through the fridge, just no ice. So I've owned my fridge for about a year and we had no ice one day. Should have called Lowe's where I bought the fridge that day, but it's just ice and we'll get around to fixing it one day.

That day finally arrived about a year later. An ice free year later. Going back to old school ice trays. Getting annoyed when someone would put the ice tray back empty. We called and they said they wouldn't come out unless we tried changing the filter first. Of course our local Lowes did not have our filter in stock so we ordered it here. More days without ice. Finally it arrived simple plug and play. Followed the instructions and flushed water through for a few minutes and walla my ice maker started working.

This is the product that I always decide to replace my expiring filter with. I always keep one on hand and I'm always ready to replace the old filter with. It provides clean water to our ice dispenser/water dispenser.

I have no issues with the product and have always been satisfied with the performance of this filter. I will always be using this product as long as I have my currant fridge and it's comparable in price to the other filters although all of them are expensive, this one is a little less so.

The water and ice coming from the dispenser is always fresh and taste good so I feel like Frigidaire takes very good care of my family with these Puresource 3 water filters. Thank you Frigidaire!

They are very simple to replace, just slipping the old one out and the newer one back into position.

This replacement filter fit perfectly in my refrigerator and is working just as it is supposed to, and the cost was much less then if I had bought it in a brick and mortar store. Very handy to not have to find a store that sells the filter, but instead to have it delivered to my door. It was very easy to verify that the filter would fit my appliance and then just as easy to order it. The instructions on how to remove the old filter and then how to put in the new filter are printed right on the side of the box and were very easy to understand and to follow. I will definitely purchase this filter again Frigidaire WF3CB Puresource 3 Replacement Filter, 1-Packfrom this Seller when this one needs to be replaced.

There's not much to say about the filter. It's made by Frigidaire, so as long as you buy the correct filter, based on which refrigerator you own, you won't really have an issue. It's easy to install. Just remember to run water through it for a little while before drinking (it'll taste funny if you don't)!

I searched around and the best price was through a third party seller on Amazon. We use a lot of water, so it stinks how quickly our filter needs to be replaced, but what can you do? This was the best deal and it works as well as it should.
