This mom's new go to appliance.
I make bento lunches for my son, and his favorite is hard-boiled eggs!
I toss six eggs in with less than a 1/4 cup of water and 14 minutes later the unit shuts off by itself and I come back and easily peel the eggs. (I mean the shells slide off!!)
I no longer have to wait for water to boil or watch and wait to turn off the stove.
The eggs cook while the kids are in the tub and voilĂ  lunch/breakfast is ready for the next morning. And I'm guessing if I forget or run behind I could have these ready while he get dressed for school in the morning!
Custom omelette's in a hurry is my next adventure!
And did I mention how tiny and cute it is? Perfect for a kitchen with limited counterspace! See the picture for size comparison next to a one cup measure!

I have the exact same egg cooker that I bought off one of those 3 letter TV channels. I bought this one for my mom for christmas because she loves mine. I can confirm this is the exact same thing that they sell on TV. The user guide/recipe book is exactly the same with the exception of this one saying Dash and the other one saying the guys name that sells it on TV.

The cooker works fantastically, I make fresh hard "boiled" eggs every single morning during the week and often will do poached eggs or omelets in it on the weekend. It is a good idea to spray the omelet or poached egg try w/ a little non-stick cooking spray before making anything in them, it helps the eggs come out easier.

Another tip is to pierce the eggs on the "bottom" rounder end. If you dont have super fresh eggs and you pierce the top sometimes you get egg white that bubbles out the hole and makes a mess in the cooker.

Cleanup is super easy. I dont even clean it every day, you'll notice after a couple of days the bottom metal plate starts to look rusty. It's not rust but sediment that has either come off the eggs or out of your water. I just pour some vinegar in the bottom of the cooker when I take out my morning eggs and leave it in the cooker while I'm at work. When I come home from work it's as simple as dumping out the vinegar and wiping it out with a paper towel and giving it a quick wash.

This little gem is NOT one of those small appliances I get and put on a shelf until the someday that never comes. I LOVE THIS EGG COOKER for lots of reasons. The key to me is I set it up for the eggs I want, add the level of the water for soft, medium or hard eggs -- now get this -- turn on the machine and WALK AWAY. I can go get ready for work and my eggs are ready for me in 7 minutes or less. There is no worry about the cooker causing a problem overheating because the unit turns off by itself. If I forget I cooked some eggs for some reason, I don't have to charge back home and turn it off. There is no concern of overheating and starting a fire. I appreciate that because I can eat healthier in the morning and save the expense of the drive thru with hardly a blip of time in my routine. It's a great comfort.

I've been telling friends about it. My office-mate is going to get one for her son, a budding wrestler, who likes hard boiled eggs. This is something an 8 year old can use easily.

Another reason I LOVE THIS EGG COOKER is that it makes beautiful hard boiled eggs without a fuss. It comes with a tool to puncture the shell of the egg to avoid cracking. This gives you a uniform hard boiled egg for snacks and deviled eggs. It is so easy to do 7 eggs at one time, I don't see myself ever using a pan method to hard boil eggs again.

If you are looking for a downside, here it is: It has a pretty small omelet tray which can handle a few veggies and a couple eggs. I made one attempt with just the eggs and was not impressed with my result. But I didn't try it with any fixings. At the moment, I'm not a convert from the pan. However, I'm not ruling it out when I have a little leftover veggies or bacon.

Since I was little, I loved poached eggs. I was a bit put off by the shape of the poached egg tray, being somewhat oblong. However, it is a non issue after the second time I made them. So they are not round, they taste great! Another press the on button and walk away winner.

The size of the egg cooker is rather petite for a kitchen small appliance. I would think it would work well for a singles and small families. It's about the size of a small Honeydew melon. I have mine huddled between my pot of utensils and tea pot because it gets a lot of use. It's earned it's spot on the counter.

I hope my family will not see this until after Christmas because they will all be getting the DASH Go Rapid Egg Cooker.

Love it just be careful with Using egg beaters. It gets really big then deflates when it turns off.

We live on an Urban Homestead with a large flock of Chickens and Ducks. For years we have been hard boiling eggs the old fashion way, in a pot of boiling water. Lets just say that it was tedious, inconsistent, and often prevented us from hard boiling eggs we collected from our flock! We have now processed 3 batches of hard boiled eggs through the Dash Go Rapid Egg Cooker and I could not be more excited! It couldn't be easier, Place the eggs, start the cooker, and walk away. The cooker then sounds the alarm when the eggs are done. We made a large batch of Deviled Eggs and every egg came out perfect. Another batch was for egg salad sandwich and again the eggs came out perfect and consistent. I can't believe that I waited this long to make the switch. If you like egg salad sandwiches, deviled eggs, or hard boiled eggs and love things being simple.... This egg cooker is for you! It also does poached eggs and omelets, making this small cooking machine capable of multiple dishes. Highly recommended!

I've literally had this machine one day and I'm so in love with it. I made 4 eggs with it on my first try and I put enough water in it for hard boiled but the did come out medium. Since I was using the eggs for tuna salad, I just put a little more water to cook the remaining eggs a little longer. I ate one of the eggs (picture) and it was perfect. The shell came off beautifully and the yolk was nice and creamy. I honestly never tasted an egg that good. Usually the yolk are all dried out. I'm looking forward to using this machine a lot.

My only critique is that the buzzer is just insanely loud. I read other reviews and it used to beep or click but they've since changed that. Trust me when I say you'll hear this thing no matter where you are in your house. And it will not go off until you hit the power button. The machine itself does power off when the water has evaporated, but the buzzer remains active until you hit the button. Maybe it's a safety feature, I don't know. It's also super compact and takes up virtually no space on your counter. You can easily store it away with all of the accessories under the dome. The dome twist and locks in place so everything stays put.

I also had a black smudge on the dome of my cooker. I don't know what it is, but it wouldn't come off. Since the machine works, it wasn't that big of a concern for me to send it back. The machine is great for the price and hopefully it last a while before I have to get a new one.

This is perfect for people who love soft / hard boiled eggs but hate cooking them in a pot of boiling water and then trying to figure out how to get them just right. This also does a decent job of making poached egg patties for breakfast sandwiches. Other than a few minor downsides, this is a neat, simple, and very useful gadget.

The biggest downside to this product is the alarm for when the eggs are cooked. The first time it went off I thought I was back in college and some idiot had pulled the fire alarm. I kid you not, it is the most startling, irritating, anxiety inducing electrical buzzing sound. A simple beeping tone would have sufficed; it's not like the design of the unit keeps cooking the eggs or there's a danger of the unit overheating and bursting into flames within a couple minutes of being done. By design, the unit operates until the water is boiled out, then shuts off; the loudness and insistency of the alarm is just overkill.

Also, be aware that if you have hard water, you will likely want to clean the boiler plate on this unit each time you use it. After each use on our unit, there's a disgusting brown film all over the plate. I've seen it suggested, and I would concur, that if you should use distilled water in the basin. Of course, this means you have to have jugs of distilled water on hand just for this, so, that's probably less practical than just cleaning the plate. As the instructions suggest, you can do this with 1 part vinegar to 9 parts water, let sit a few minutes, then wipe clean.

Bonus feature on this is that, when soft / hard boiling whole eggs, there is a small attachment you can thread into the cooking tray so that afterwards you can lift the whole thing out of the cooker without burning yourself or dropping something.

For as long as I can remember, I have been hard-boiling my eggs the old fashioned way on the stovetop. There was a trivial amount of excitement in trying to develop the perfect cooking method. Like a chemist, I would constantly adjust cooking time and temperature as well as create a mixture salt and vinegar to create a shell that peels slightly easier.
It took a gentle nudge from a friend to bump me into the 21st century.
Two minutes of research on Amazon brought me to this Rapid Egg Cooker by Dash. Under $20 and arriving in 2 days, this little gadget is quite the game changer. I was superbly impressed by the simplicity of this little device. In roughly 5 minutes and with zero cleanup, it produced one of the most perfectly hard boiled eggs i have seen.
Dash has built this device to also cook omelettes, devilled eggs and steamed veggies. While I have yet to venture into this arena, the bottom line is quite simple. Hard boiling eggs the old fashioned way is not difficult however, this device does it better in ¼ the amount of time. How much is your time worth?

Cooking tip:

The only tip that carried over from my previous life of cooking eggs is the ice bath. Upon completion, I toss my eggs in an ice bath to halt the cooking process.

Pretty easy to use.
I needed this to get protein (eggs) cause I'm working out and I'm hungry all the time.
First you need to bore a hole on the bottom of the egg using the pin that's attached under the water measuring cup, then fill the measuring cup to your desired egg style (hard or soft boiled) and pour the water inside. That's it. I uploaded a picture for easy reference.

Wow..I'm quite impressed with this little gadget! Makes perfect eggs with very easy clean-up. Omelets, poached, & hard boiled..perfect every time. And the hard boiled are soo easy to peel. I was afraid when I bought this that it would be one of those kitchen gadgets that would be put away never to be used again. Not so..I can't imagine going back to making eggs in a skillet or pan again. It will take a little bit of experimenting at first to determine how much water you need to use to cook the eggs the way that you prefer..but once you get that down..it will be perfect eggs cooked just the way you like them every time. I did have to re-mark the lines on the little measuring cup with black permanent marker as they are hard to see..but that was an easy enough fix.
