This dehumidifier works great. Much quieter then the one I had to replace that quit working. Really easy to remove the full bucket and carry to the sink to dump. A full container isn't that heavy, about 13.5 lbs, to carry with the single handle and to dump. I have a very large basement that had a high humidity of 60-70% or so it would fill the 13.1 container pints within the day, 12-24 hours. That is a lot of water it is pulling out of the air. My wife complained about mildew smell in the basement that she couldn't stay in there long. We would also get white mold on the stuff in the basement. I have read that you should keep the humidity below 50% (set to 40-45%)if you don't want mold so I set it on 45% relative humidity and after about a week of use it brought our very large basement to 45-50%. It does feel a lot drier and should eliminate the mold. I highly recommend this. It just really easy to use and works great. Nice and quiet too, about the same noise as a small window a/c unit running. When the basement is cool (60's) the humidity is low and the unit runs but don't pull much water. It works best in warmer weather (70's) which is when the humidity is high and mold can grow, warm and moist. So, I only run it during the spring and summer months to save electricity cost.
I used the bucket for about 2 weeks to try it out and then I switched to the continuous drain tube which I connected a piece of clear vinyl tube (1 1/4 inch outer dia, 1 inch inner dia) from Home Depot which I connected to a "T" connector that I installed on my A/C condensation line that runs outside. Since it is only gravity drain (no pump) I had to place my dehumidifier above the drain connection. I could have used a short piece of water hose but I like the clear tube so I can see that the water is flowing so I can check to make sure it is working. See pictures.

I needed another dehumidifier after our previous one was recalled for a fire hazard. After researching and reading the reviews, I went to order the Frigidaire, and a newer model was available as indicated by Amazon's website. So I ordered the newer model and currently have it in our finished basement. So far, I'm very pleased with the unit. It's very easy to setup and operate. Has a extremely sturdy handle on the top, which can slide down and hide out of the way. The handle is great when you need to lift it a little to roll it around on the wheels. I set the humidity setting to 45% and have emptied the water holder a couple times. The fan shuts off and a little white light on the front at the top will flash to let you know it's full. Very easy to empty. Once empty, pop the water holder back in, and it starts right back up. One thing caught my attention; the fan seems to run all the time. This is not really a big thing for me, just a little unexpected. I thought maybe it would shut off when the right humidity level was obtained, but that's ok. The air coming out the side is a little warm, and with it being in the basement, it does seem to keep the chill off the rooms. Guess that can be looked at as a bonus. Overall, if you're needing a dehumidifier, you can't go wrong with this one..
UPDATE (4.16.15): I have this unit (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013BKDO8/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_5) in the basement monitoring the humidity. After a couple days, it indicated the humidity was low. I adjusted the humidity setting upward on the Frigidaire. Next time I went down to check on the unit, the fan was NOT running and the water holder was NOT full. I stand corrected on the fan never shutting off.

Best dehumidifier on the market and a beast when it comes to how much water it creates. We have a mold problem in our apartment and thing has been instrumental in lowering the humidity and making our place a livable home again.

The side outlet is different for air but in a good way. The opposite side from the air discharge is the water condensation. The front bar is an LED light that signals when the bucket is full/out or needs attention. Already has dropped the humidity in basement by 5 percent in one day. So far been working great. I like the auto defrost as it is not freezing up like my last model.

This is the 4th dehumidifier I have placed into my basement. I have a humid basement. It has French drains around the perimeter and 2 sump pumps so the ground water is managed perfectly when needed (when there is combined snow melt and spring rains). My house is about 74 feet above sea level and not in a flood plain. Without a dehumidifier my basement would be very musty. I think I have found out why my other dehumidifiers haven't worked. 1.) They have been only 50 pint models. 2.) The hose I was using from the dehumidifier to my condensate floor pump was from a washing machine hose with too small of an aperture causing a resistance to the flow of water out of the unit. 3.) The pitch of my basement floor may have caused the unit to not drain properly (even though I checked the level on the previous unit and it was level). I conclude this because my last unit had a warranty and was diagnosed as internally water damaged and not economically repairable. To fix these assumed issues I bought a cheap garden hose with a larger hose and connector aperture, cleaned my condensate pump, and put a piece of a rubber mat on the opposite side of the unit's wheels to slightly raise it up toward the condensate water's exit pipe. I am keeping the humidity level set at 50% as I always have so the unit can cycle on and off and not freeze up or overheat. The water is flowing out of it perfectly .The basement smells spring fresh and this dehumidifier is working perfectly. I am feeling good about this one. This Frigidaire may beat the previous units 2-3 year malfunction record. So far, so good.

Since receiving, this dehumidifier has not disappointed. Out of the box this unit is ready to go. Controls on top are straight forward and no effort to empty the catch basin when the unit becomes full. I am amazed how well this controls humidity on the low setting, reducing my basement humidity ~10 degrees. Recommended
06 Aug 2015 - Update - This morning, woke up to water in my basement. Only using the unit for 2 weeks, which the unit was working properly, the bucket would fill, indicator would sound and the unit shut off until the bucket was emptied, this did not occur this time, and the unit kept running. Not able to find any recalls on this item at this time. Water damage is never a good thing. This may be a unique case of product malfunction but want to ensure people are aware.
Nov 2015 - Update - Following up with Frigidaire, they agreed to buy back the product and compensate us for the work to repair the damage. While the repair bill was not large by any means, the fact that they stepped up and made this right goes a long way for future consideration of a Frigidaire purchase. Leaving 5 Stars as the product performed well prior to the mishap, and Frigidaire took ownership of the problem. Customer Service was always good and responsive.

Our basement is generally good when it comes to moisture, but, there is one wall which (on the outside) tends to get a good amount of moisture when it rains, even after grading and drainage fixes.
Unfortunately, the moist soil transfers water to the cinder block foundation (yes, it is sealed, but it still manages to absorb some moisture). This ended up causing significant condensation on our floor and walls. It has caused drywall to flake off,and I really thought due to the amount of moisture on the floor (literally, it ended up creating small pools) we had some sort of leak, and I'd have to tear down drywall, and end up having to do foundation work.
As a last resort, gave this a try after I put a hygrometer (measures humidity) in the basement where walls / floors got wet. Humidity was in the 80s! Way above anywhere else in the house. So, after some hunting around, settled on this model, which is a new revision of a pretty solid predecessor model.
It's been many months since I purchased this, and no more moisture problems!! Floors and walls are bone dry. So, this has been a great dehumidifier, and it really pulls out the humidity. For reference, the space I'm dehumidifying is about 1000 sq ft, but it's got a LOT of moisture.
It's pretty quiet (even on high fan setting, can barely hear it one floor up), and I can't say I've seen electric bills go up much. Emptying the tank is a snap. You do have the option of using the continuous drain to a condensate pump or a floor drain, but I'll worry about that later, I'm just using the tank and emptying it for now.
As for configuring the unit, it's darn simple. Set the humidity level you want using up/down buttons and walk away. It turns on when needed, and then cycles off. Simple as it gets.
Overall, this is a really solid product. Dried out my damp basement quickly (went from humidity in the 80s down to about 60 in about 24 hrs), and I have no more moisture problems! 5 stars from me.

I've been using this machine to dry out a bedroom and living room that are continually moist and suffer from condensation buildup and mold. It works great! Except for a couple of minor design flaws that I will get into later, I found this dehumidifier to be very effective, quiet and sturdy.
The unit is larger than I thought it would be, about the size of a laundry hamper. It's also quite heavy (I needed help getting it out of the box) but has wheels and a handle on top and is easily moved from room to room. It's stylish enough that it doesn't distract from a room, and it's sleek enough that it is easy to clean also. On the top are the controls, with an LED display that shows you what the humidity is (and what you have set it at). THANK YOU Frigidaire for keeping the controls simple and only having a few buttons, all but one of which are fairly intuitive. It's easy to use!
The unit performed great. I set the humidity to 50%, and when it starts up it's usually at about 80% humidity, and on the low fan setting it takes about a half hour to get down to 50%, which seems fast in my opinion. The low setting is pretty quiet, I could watch tv easily with it in the same room. I was really surprised by how much water it collected, yet after almost a full week of use the water container wasn't full yet. I was a little worried about how heavy the water container would be, but it's not bad at all and has a handle so you can carry it easily. There is an adapter that plugs into the side where you can hook the unit up to a hose for continuous running and water removal if you need to, a very handy feature.
There are a couple of little irritants with this unit, but really not enough for me to lower my rating. There is a "lock" feature that locks all of the buttons so nothing can be done with them. I'm not really sure why this feature is needed or wanted, and there isn't an explanation of that in the manual (it does explain how to do use it though). To me, "lock" should mean locking the humidity level that you set (it does that automatically), not locking the actual buttons down. For childproofing? I don't know. I found it strange and counter-intuitive, but if you have a need for this function it's there.
There is a clear circle on the front of the unit that presumably would show how high the water level is in the collection bucket, but it's near the bottom of the machine and you really can't see anything at all. Too bad there's not a little light around it so you could get a quick glimpse of the water level. There is a button that lights up on the top of the unit when the bucket is full, but this front feature would be handy as well if it worked better.
The one thing I wish was different is that the hose adapter doesn't have a place on the unit itself for storage, so it has to be kept separate when you're not using it. I can easily see myself losing the adapter because of this. I wish it had a little storage cubby like vacuum cleaners do so you can stow the adapter right there in the unit. A minor gripe, I know, but it's little design features like this that would really make a model stand out.
Despite those minor design flaws, I am very happy with this unit, I've been using it every day with no problems and highly recommend it.

Right out of the box and into my finished basement, this Frigidaire FFAD70333R1 Dehumidifier reduced the humidity from 65% to 55% in about an hour or less. I can say, based on my having to purchase 4+ dehumidifiers over the last 8 years, that this one (so far) is the quietest machine I've ever owned. You have to touch it to feel if the compressor is on.
The price for this machine is about a hundred dollars less than the 2 LG & G.E. Machines i've purchased in the past, only to have them last less than two years. I brought them to the transfer recycling station which cost me $15.00 each for them to take. Upon getting there, there was a graveyard of all kinds of dehumidifiers. It's really aggravating that we are getting ripped off by these manufacturers that can't produce a machine that lasts a lifetime.
Time will tell if this one lasts, but I must say I'm pleased with the price, design, quietness, and the moisture extraction already.
BTW this Frigidiare Model turns COMPLETELY OFF (including the fan) when the desired humidity level is reached. The others I brought to the dump, did not. So far so good!

So Far... It's amazing.
I had a similar 70 pint Frigidaire from 2006 that did not have the auto defrost, and that was a big mistake.
This model has the auto-defrost, which is essential if you are going to put it in any northern climate or cool area such as a basement.
This dehumidifier can pull my basement to 50% humidity easily. Do yourself a favor - get the auto defrost.
There is a twin to this model that does NOT have auto-defrost, so use caution when ordering.
Two Complaints:
1. The bucket seems small. I have to empty mine daily.
2. The Hose adapter is plastic and seems flimsy, and it does not seal a hose connection properly, so I'm stuck with the buckets.
