This product gave me results that are nothing short of amazing. I tried Bissell 2x Deep Cleaning formula after having disappointing results with many MANY other carpet cleaning formulas; I had even resorted to a "professional" cleaning with only "fair" results. After the various attempts the carpet would typically look <50% improved, but certain mystery stains that were there forever would either remain or come back. No matter what I tried, the high traffic areas never regained the loft it used to have and never really looked clean. Even worse was after the chem -dry type cleaning the carpet actually started to attract MORE dirt, looking worse than before; I didn't realize that the "dry" type cleaning is like shampooing your hair without rinsing and so after a few weeks I had to try something different. I used a Bissell Big Green Cleaning machine with this 2x formula and the results were incredible!
* Using very hot tap water I went over lightly once with water only to loosen the soap and dirt that other cleaning had left behind. I then went over the carpet in sections with the Bissell deep cleaning formula, starting with the high traffic areas so I could do those areas over again at the end if needed.
* Due to 2X concentration you'll need to use *half as much*; be sure to dilute properly since this is concentrated. I did not need to add extra for the high traffic areas but did spot treat a single small stain with about half a teaspoon at full strength.
* I chose to rinse until the water ran fairly clear (2-3 passes) which did affect saturation and drying time.
Results: The carpet dried completely within about 5-6 hours. The color was noticeably brighter, the same color as in the closets where no wear and tear had ever occurred. The one stain that had been there despite many cleaning attempts was gone. The feel of the carpet was VERY soft. The scent was mild, pleasant not perfume-y ; the scent was gone by the next day and the rooms just smelled clean. I gave this a review about a week to post to see if the one stain would come back as it has in the past and so far it seems gone for good.
Very pleased with the product and highly recommend!

Don't plan to use this product on simply sprucing up a dingy heavy traffic area like I did! Best plan on cleaning the entire carpet if you start because the small area you clean will be so clean that it makes the entire rest of the carpet look dingy!
Especially don't do what I did - I ignored the fact that this cleaner is labeled double-strength (oh, yeah, that's what they all say, right?)...but this one really MEANS it!! I used my usual amount and a bit more in my Bissell carpet cleaner and was pleased at how it quickly cleaned up the dirty traffic areas in the room. (I'd done this before with other cleaners and pretty much every area matched when it had dried.)
But to my horror, when I saw the cleaned up areas the next morning, they looked so bright in comparison to the rest of the carpet, I thought I had bleached those areas and ruined my whole carpet!! (Turns out there's no bleach in this cleaner.) What I didn't realize at the time was I had created a double whammy...that I had left too much of the cleaner itself in the carpet (which looks whiter when dry) and that it had amazingly cleaned old, old grunge out of the beige carpet...which I had thought was a dull, clay color!
After reading the first review of this product with some hope restored, I proceeded to frantically shampoo the entire carpet and then to go over it all again with plain water (as did the first reviewer) until the waste tank looked pretty clear (it originally was dark brown with dirt).
I can say with relief and satisfaction that the whole carpet looks great and evenly colored today. I've never encountered a carpet cleaner this effective before!

I have a Rug Doctor type machine for cleaning my carpets--that machine definitely can use the Bissell 2X Deep Cleaner in the chamber. But first, to test it out, before I fired up the ol' Doc, I scrubbed out some coffee stain on a light ivory carpet. I had spilled the remnants of a cup of dark roast right next to my desk and even after using an oxygen cleaner that is designed for quick stain treatment, I was left with a dark brown streak on the carpet that was resistant to any more scrubbing. This cleaner and a scrubby sponge, took out the stain in minutes.
Then I moved over to a cat stain (my cat is a feral rescue and he still insists on decorating ONE area of ONE carpet with his signature.) After I had enzyme treated the area, there still was a stain. The Bissell cleaner make quick work of the rest of the stain.
To do this test, I took some hot water, diluted the cleaner 1:1 according to the directions, and scrubbed the stain. The cap of the bottle is cleverly designed to measure out about a quarter cup (4 oz) of cleaner, and you can then use the cap to measure the water to dilute. I wish I had one of those small portable cleaners to test out, but I don't own on. (I think with this cat and my clumsy coffee drinking, I ought to buy one.) But I think this cleaner would make a good job in combination.
Here is a "factoid" about carpet fiber that may help you hand-clean spots. Carpet fibers have an octagonal cross-section (meaning, if you pull up a fiber and look at a cut end under the microscope, there would be eight sides.) So when you clean, it helps to rub in each of the directions of the compass, N, S, E, W, NE, NW, SE, SW. That's how I do it and that insures you get all sides of the fiber exposed to the shampoo and scrubbing. The best professional machines don't just go back and forth to scrub, they orbit in all these directions. So when I hand scrub, I try to replicate this motion.
The 2X concentrate works well in my Rug Doctor and the fragrance isn't bad, though I have an issue with too much perfume. I wish it had less scent, my only complaint.
According to the label, this is safe to use in Bissell, Hoover, Dirt Devil, and Rug Doctor full size cleaning machines, so it's versatile, if you have a big machine and also like to remove stains with small handheld units or sponges.
On the ecological side, this cleaner is said to be made of biodegradable detergents with no no phosphates, dyes, optical brighteners or heavy metals. Optical brighteners make things look white to begin with, but yellow over time and are really not helpful. I'm glad there are none in this carpet shampoo.
Bottom line: I will be buying this as my standard carpet shampoo from now on.

This cleaner is amazing!!! It is a little on the expensive side but WELL worth it and actually saves you time and money in the long run. I have probably used every carpet cleaning solution on the market and this one beats them all hands down. I have 3 dogs and 3 kids and I also foster animals who are not always potty trained. This cleaner works so well that you would never know I have pets. I have used other cleaners and have had to do a couple passes with my steam cleaner just to get my floors really clean. I was beyond impressed with how great it worked after only one pass! It even got up stains that other products have left behind. I can now clean a room in half the time it used to take because I don't have to go over the carpet again and again. It scent isn't over powering and it got rid of every odor my carpet had absorbed. I really saw a difference when I ran out of this product half way through cleaning my sons carpet. I grabbed what I had left of another cleaner, that I used to really like, and I was surprised at the difference in my carpet. The other cleaner left my carpet looking dingy and a little rough. This cleaner left the carpet very soft and extreemly clean. I love it and won't use anything else again!

I just bought a Bissell Deep clean shampooer and with it can the BISSELL pro cleaning formula. I have to say I could not believe how it transformed my 7 year old carpest. Its a high quality thick pile carpet that was dull and flat looking. This cleaner pulled all the dull dirt and actually fluffed the carpet back up to new.
I love when you buy a product and it performs the way its advertised. I bought the big bottle as now all the carpets will be done now.

Not all cleaning products are made the same. I found that out when I ran out of cleaner and I had to borrow some from my sister in law who usually buys no name brand stuff. Well after cleaning a section of my carpet with the cleaner that she gave to me and comparing it to the section that I had done with Bissell, there is no doubt that they are not not same. I will make sure the next time that I have enough Bissell on hand when I am cleaning my carpets or I won't waste my time with any other brand

I have been using this concentrated cleaning formula with my Bissell 3624 SpotClean carpet/upholstery cleaner. It only takes 2 ounces of this cleaner with my carpet cleaner, so this 48 ounce bottle can be used for 24 refills on my cleaner. It takes about 3 refills of the cleaner to clean my large sectional polyester microfiber couch, so I can clean my large couch approximately 8 times with this large bottle of cleaner. That's a pretty darn good value for the the price of this cleaner.
Not only does this cleaner do a great job cleaning up food, beverage and general toddler messes on my couch, it also smells fantastic. I love the light, clean, fresh smell. It doesn't have any strong floral or chemical notes, it just smells clean. It doesn't leave behind any residue on my couch and I noticed after the first cleaning of my couch that the ScotchGuard protected it against additional stains. Also, even though Bissell sells a pretreat product, to make thing simple I just use 2 oz of this cleaner diluted in about 16 oz of water in a spray bottle to pretreat stain on my furniture and it works great.

This product is amazing. I tried the sample shampoo that came with my Hoover carpet cleaner and thought that was good. I didn't realize what good was until I tried the Bissell one. I took this and my carpet cleaner to my grandma's house where she had deep in stains from a dog that previously lived at her house. This product got all the soil and dirt out of her carpet and got rid of the pet odor too.
I have used this product in high traffic areas in my own house as well and it works great. I have two boys so dirt is going to happen and vacuuming alone only does so much.
I usually do my carpet cleaning after my boys go to bed and the carpet is 99.9% dry by the time they get up the next morning and it smells great. I don't have "white" carpet but it is a lighter color and there is a noticeable difference between a room I just clean with my carpet cleaner and one that has yet to be done.

This is something I read about before purchasing here because I needed to clean a hallway. I like the pet products for those areas and thought maybe the hallway needed a bit more attention. My hallway was so bad that you could see where everyone walked. I didn't pretreat it at all, which would probably have helped with more stains. However, the way this cleaned the hallway and stairs! I'm greatly impressed. I plan on using it on the whole house where I used the pet stuff to see if it may be better.

I ordered this along with a brand new Bissell Steam Cleaner. I had a kid stained carpet and a tan microfiber couch that my dogs have ground dirt and other things into for years. I was skeptical that this and the Steam Cleaner would work. However not only did this help to get the stains out of the carpet, but it also got Mt couch way cleaner than I expected. I would definitely recommend this cleaner to go along with any steam cleaner
